Becoming a Real Estate Agent
To become a Real Estate Agent you have to take three Salesperson
Licensing courses: Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3. After successful completion you become a fully licensed Real Estate Agent. These three courses are completed with a text book and a workbook. They are also available to be taken online.

Additional Mandatory Articling Courses
In addition to Phase 1, 2, 3 courses, students must complete Real Property Law within the first year of being licensed and Principles of Appraisal within the second year of being licensed. Real Property Law is mandatory, however, if you are going to become licensed as a Commercial Real Estate Professional then the Principles of Commercial Real Estate course can be substituted for the Principals of Appraisal course. Both the Real Property Law and Principals of Appraisal courses are completed with a text book and a workbook and are also available to be taken online.

Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) (required completion each year)
In order for you to retain your Real Estate Licence, you are required to complete before licence renewal a 1, full day-long course. These courses are held in numerous centers across Manitoba. View the 2011 MCE courses, locations and the registration form.
