ADDITIONAL MANDATORY ARTICLING COURSES
During the first two years of registration as a real estate salesperson under The Real Estate Brokers Act with The Manitoba Securities Commission, licensees are required to successfully complete the Articling Program. If you received your licence on or after September 1, 2007 than you are required to complete Real Property Law within the first year of registration and Principles of Appraisal during the second year of registration. Following successful completion of these two courses, a salesperson receives permanent salesperson status. Failure to successfully complete these two courses within the two-year timeframe may result in suspension of the salesperson's registration under The Real Estate Brokers Act by The Manitoba Securities Commission.
You are responsible for determining this deadline date and for successfully completing the above mentioned Articling courses by the due date imposed by The Manitoba Securities Commission. Failure to do so will result in the suspension of your licence.
If you have any questions concerning this requirement or wish to enroll in these courses, please contact The Manitoba Real Estate Association's Education Department at 772-0405.
